I think you make a fair argument, shirt. I'd be willing to play a game with a hammer vote to see how it goes. My memory is a little foggy, but I don't know if I have even played with a hammer vote mechanic before. I've played in "there will be no lynch unless there is a majority vote to lynch one player" rulesets, but the hammer vote takes that a little bit further. I think you're right that voting behavior can be much more readable in some situations if a hammer vote is involved.

But I'm still fine with no hammer vote for this game if most people would rather not have that mechanic in this particular game.

Here's the GM decision about Hammer Votes for this game.

There won't be hammer votes for this game, mainly due to game flavour.

I agree that hammer votes are interesting (and I personally love them); however, in Danganronpa, all players place their votes on the supposed criminal as soon as the discussion phase is over. Even if the majority believes someone committed a crime alongside the day, that does not interrupt the Class Trial.

Therefore, in order to keep the game consistent with the source material, I shall not include the hammer vote rule. Nevertheless, the End Game function will still be available, as students can tell Monokuma that everyone is ready to vote.

I hope this works well for everyone, and I'm still open to suggestions on the matter.

Anti-hammer.

Pro-overtime generally, but I do think overtime affects balance. I think it's a strongly pro-town thing.

Don't care deeply about an End Day mechanic other than it being explicit in the rules how it works, and then following those rules.

Don't care about hammer. Leave to GM's discretion.

Agree with K on overtime being desirable and being considered a pro-town event. I like uncertainty around deadlines to see what happens, but as a GM I do try and hold as close to the DL as I can.

Ehh, screw it. sign me up.

Haven't been in a real dip game in a year, and my first mafia forum game kind of gave me the feeling I used to get when I was having more fun being involved and playing dip.
