Perfect - looking forward to seeing Pootle’s KB’s.

Looks like the Travel Lodge may well be a reasonable base. I might travel up on the Friday so that I can be suitably refreshed and pleasant for a 10.30 start. That’s if I don’t have a hangover.

Thanks for organising this Phleg. If only you were as accommodating in the game we are currently playing life would be so much better.

I confess local hotels are not my forte as I never need to use them. I think Pootles has gone for an Airbnb option which looked nice.

Travelodge is certainly very handy - a five minute walk to the venue and next door to the station.

Chadwick House Hotel is also very close and seems to have decent online reviews. More of an old-school place in a big Victorian house.

WG Apartment is a town-centre B&B type place that's also right by the station, as is Sleep, Eat, Repeat.

Further afield there are a bunch of other B&B's and hotels in easy taxi range, with two Premier Inns on the outskirts of town and some posher places in the surrounding villages (Mottram Hall, Shrigley Hall, Alderley Edge Hotel etc)

I hope that helps!

Looks like we've tracked down "the other Andy", and I'm told he's keen.

Assuming that's correct that gives us 11 definites. I've not heard back from Brumark, Caladrius or Claesar-from-WebDip yet, so fingers crossed they come back to me with a positive very soon.

This seems like the most active thread for this, so I've stickied it to make it easier for people to wander across. Good luck, hope you can get the final push to two full boards!

Thanks nanook, you're a star!

I'm working on getting Mr Aedron to come - if anyone knows him well and wants to encourage him, that would be great!

I know Mr Aedron. Not in person, but from a couple of games here. He's a tough guy. If he attends this, I'll bring my chainsaw.

Currently confirmed attendees:

Me, Big Gun, dib, Pootles, Jack007, Brumark, Strategus, Andy H, other Andy H, Capt Meme, Tibetan Blackbird, Greg Mostyn (99% sure, can anyone make that 100%?)

I am very happy for novices to attend if it gets the numbers up, as it brings new blood into the hobby, so feel free to bring along any friends who might be keen!

Do we know already at which hotel to put up? Preferably one with a night bar, and a good breakfast.
