Interested in some American perspectives on the Democrats leadership vote. There's more than enough news about the Republicans but across the pond we don't hear as much about the Dems.

Personally, as a Brit with no say on the matter, I support Bernie Sanders and hope to see him as President of the United States.

Id probably prefer Bernie, because since hes such a radical liberal he wont be able to get anything done. If Hillary wins, she will continue the damage Obama already caused.

It really depends on your perspective.

People are angry at Hillary for deleting her emails.

Of course, many other people delete their emails and register them as private, as well as other politicians, but it was never shined upon by the media – the media always takes bad things and shows them, but never shows the good things. For example, for every nuclear power station that is damaged, there are thousands that are producing electricity for a huge number of families.

Some people support Hillary as the main Democrat candidate.

As a former US dweller moved to Britain, I personally haven't really decided. I think it is about time to have a girl as President, but I'm not sure if Hillary is the one.

After all, that would restore Bill Clinton as First Man, and he was impeached...

Trump is stupid, but he clearly resembles Adolf Hitler in his policies and I don't want history to repeat itself there.

Cruz is bad, I don't really know much about him however

Really, I don't want a Republican to win. I would rather have a Democrat to win President, but I'm not sure which one.

Hillary would be the hands-down better President than Bernie.

This does not mean that she would be a good President.

Bernie is running the same populist movement that Trump is, but he would need absurd amounts of Congressional support to enact half of his policies, at least among the very few policies that he's actually outlined.

I go with what I always go with, "Who is least likely to start a nuclear war?" And while that does include watching out for someone so pacifist they could invite one, the fact is that in no case has that been a consideration, or when it was it was outweighed by the other candidates' more likeliness to start one.

For Democrats the clear answer is Bernie. I'll expand on this only because it is on topic for the question asked. The Iraq War vote alone is enough to persuade me here.

For Republicans, Kasich is least likely to start a nuclear war. Trump might through accident or ignorance, but he would avoid it because bad for business. JEB! might do it just to look tough for his family. The rest of them are so dominated by their religious beliefs they either actually think it is a good thing or would put enough nuts in positions of influence that one of them might start some shit. This is a factor even for those smart enough to not actually believe but just pretend to for political reasons.

Between Kasich and Bernie (or even Hillary), the tie breaker for my vote would be personal freedom. An excellent gauge for the level of government intrusion into private lives is how much they push for abortion regulations. Doesn't get more personal than your own body. From their stated positions, either Democrat is the candidate for less government intrusion.
