Thats only because people vote for more than one set. The Griffin and Serpent voters are trying to diminish the value of the Sharks and Dinos by stuffing the ballot box. I want Alman to investigate.

But don't actually do that.

I DEMAND that the Dino Armies and Shark-Fleets be preserved!No other game icons have anywhere close to the same following, not the catapults and galleys, nor the cannons and sailing ships, and certainly not the tanks and gunboats (despite the fact that the latter are so well-known they even have a game type named after them). Dino lovers unite! Sign petitions! Organize sit-ins! File a class action lawsuit! WE WON'T LET THEM TAKE OUR DINOS AWAY!

I'd think a get-out-the-vote campaign would be our only practical recourse. I've done my bit to raise awareness. And it has seemed to give the dinosharks a bump in the polls today.

Don't know when the polls close, but if others want to help, I imagine the more creative ways we find to make a little noise about it and let people know what's going on, the better our chances are.

I would like it noted that in the event that everyone has lost their mind and Dinos and Sharks loses, that it can't be removed. It is not a fantasy icon set due to the fact that they are real. Those animals have existed and cannot be considered fantasy.

Evidence shmevidence. I don't see supporters of the other "more popular" icons campaigning fiercely in the other threads for the preservation of their favored symbols. The closest thing I found was a few oldtimers in the Legacy thread (and by "a few" I mean "one") pleading in a feeble voice for the old sailboats and cannons to be saved (seriously, who in their right mind tries to wage war with a fleet of sailboats?). As a matter of fact, the majority of threads have zero replies, and the next most active one has less than half the replies of this one.
If the other "classic" icons have more popularity than the Dinos, then their supporters must be taking a snooze of Rip Van Winkle-esque proportions.

Anyway, I have more important work to get back to but you can expect to see a petition in the suggestions forum by tomorrow. We won't let you take our Mesozoic creatures from us without a fight (that includes the sharks).
