Thanks, it was a good game everyone. Nothing like playing Austria and having both Italy and Russia so clearly wanting an alliance.

So were you considering your Fall 1905 retreat from MAO as a mistake? I think I would have tried for NAO, even at the risk of bouncing with the French fleet... it's tough once you're bottled up in the Med. I thought that was a real turning point, at least in my thinking about where our alliance would go.

I was impressed by how well we managed the attack on Turkey. I've seen worse coordination in non-gunboat games.

It was a very nicely executed Lepanto.

Yes, I should have retreated to NAO. I've no idea why I got timid there, likely the concern over bouncing with France. This game is not won by playing defense.

I also wasted time by pulling the fleets out of the East. Once the stalemate was set, there wasn't anything else to do but for one of us to stab the other. You could have made progress in France but at best you would have been at 16, maybe 17.

Congrats on the win, Jaelis.

I was prepared from the start of the game to have either England or Germany attack me ....but when both went straight for me from the get go I knew I was in trouble. I was happy to hold on as long as I did.
