Looks like we have an interesting situation in Gunner, which is now in Builds '15. The rules state that the alternative system is used, scoring is normalized to a percentage, which then is applied to the 12 game points available, and then the rules state, that all fractions are rounded to the nearest point number. In Gunner these roundings will result in only 11 point being distributed to the players.

What do people feel about this? Should all games result in 12 points, or do we strictly follow the wording of the rules?

I'm off 2 minds, first is rules are rules, but the second is I think the game should result in 12 points. What are the actual % and points results Bit? Is anyone at 'almost' the score needed to get that last point?

Bit, what points did you award?

Here is what I came up with.

France - 1 pt
Russia - 1 pt
Turkey - 1 pt
Italy - 4 pt
Germany - 8 pt
England - 15 pt
Austria - 26 pt

That gives a total of 56 points.

Now if you do this calculation for each one this is what you come up with.
France - 1/56*12=0
Russia - 1/56*12=0
Turkey - 1/56*12=0
Italy - 4/56*12=1
Germany - 8/56*12=2
England - 15/56*12=3
Austria - 26/56*12=6

That is 12 points.

The first calculation is the tie breaker system, the second is the adjusted site scores right?

Alive in 05: 1 point for all players.
Part of the draw: 1 point for A/E/G/I
Centers: I: 2 points, G: 5 points, E: 11 points, A: 16 points
Leader bonus: (16-11) 5 points for A.
Rank: A: 4 points, E: 3 points, G: 2 points, I: 1 point

A: 27 points. (27/60 * 12) = 5.4 points = 5 points
E: 16 points. (16/60 * 12) = 3.2 points = 3 points
G: 9 points. (9/60 * 12) = 1.8 points = 2 points
I: 5 points (5/60 * 12) = 1 point = 1 point
F: 1 point (1/60 * 12) = 0.2 points = 0 points
R: 1 point (1/60 * 12) = 0.2 points = 0 points
T: 1 point (1/60 * 12) = 0.2 points = 0 points

Total: 11 tournament points.

If we remove the bottom 3 how does that change the #s? Does Austria then bump over 5.5?

But the point is NOT to remove the buttom3 as they did manage to get on the scoreboard. It is also possible to get situations where a game would generate 13 points with these rules.

So we need to deside if:
a) all games generate 12 points
OR
b) we strictly follow the rules about rounding to nearest point.

I'm open to both, but we need to establish this before rounds 3 and 4.

Clearly there is no rule that says 12 points per game, which means that the rules that Samarkand set up that clearly state how the points will be awarded will prevail since that is what we have to go on.

I don't want 13 points of course, but if it happens it happens. 11 points seems to be the result we should go with IMO.

That looks right to me. The final tally for Gunner should be:

Dunam (Austria) 5 / 45
Radishes (England) 3 / 27
Khan1234 (Germany) 2 / 15
Camroc (Italy) 1 / 8
22.rhathaway (France) 0 / 2
Bitwise (Turkey) 0 / 2
Martz (Russia) 0 / 2

The primary points add to 11 and the secondary points to 101, but it matches what Sam intended I think.
