Premium Classic Championship - GAMES & INFO.

OK... so no results yet but as I was here I thought I'd put it up.

The threads linked to the tournament are:
Results
RULES THREAD which will remain open and will have any decisions reported.
Initial idea (locked).
Sign-ups including a list of all entrants (locked).
Poll setting the end game date as Fall Retreats 1915 (locked).
Reserves list.

We have 43 confirmed entrants, a good mixture of long-time forum regulars (well from or before my time here, which was Jan last year) and some new players, which should make for a good tournament.

The purpose of this thread is for me to confirm when I've sent invitations out, when the games have their seven players, any incidents cropping up in the game, the game result, and the league table itself. The table could be problematic as it will, as the tournament progresses, possibly allow entrants to narrow down who is playing in which games. To combat that I WON'T fill in completely the Placements information, unless it's needed to separate positions (and then only the relevant placements). It will, of course, be completed at the end of tournament. Hopefully there's enough of you to mean no-one will absolutely know who is in the game. Balancing this is the need for entrants to see the points other players, and they themselves, have gained... important for strategy as the tournament progresses.

Do we need a number of entrants divisible by 7? So, like 42 will do? Then we need 49? I've never played a "tourny" so please excuse my stupid questions.

No: with the format Rick's designed, it works with any number of people of seven or more. (To see that it works with a number that's not divisible by seven: imagine a group of 8 people -- they would play eight games, each person playing seven (one as each power) and sitting out one.)

Just posting any old rubbish in this thread so that I can always find it easier in future under my postings.
I will be running the London Marathon on 22nd April 2012 to raise funds to help disabled children and in memory of my darling wife who sadly passed away in January 2012.

Same here :D

No, I do actually have an idea: How about setting up a poll, where people can vote for, who among the likely favourites, they expect to win?
I don't know all the players here so it would be hard for me to compile a great list. I think the list should be short, but for it to be a shock if someone from outside the list wins. Here's my attempt:
captain twig, connect4, his_flyness, jimbobicus, Maucat, Stander.

Who else should be included? Any of these, who shouldn't be included (the 4th one seemed rather dodgy)?
