ODC Round 3 underway

It seems we are back from the dead. For the R3 games, do they start again from where they were when the shutdown happened or are they kicked back a season for a "do-over"?

They are kicked back to some point before the hack happened. Super_dipsy made an announcement about what's been done to reinstate games. So about 1 week's worth of moves, diplomacy, forum posts and messages have been deleted. I don't think any of the round 3 games were affected by the initial hack but unfortunately they have been affected by the reset.

I've checked the rules and there's nothing in there about what to do if the site gets hacked or if a game is re-wound. So this is one of those issues where the TD will make a call and I say play on from the point that the game is currently at on the site. For some of you this is great news, for others, maybe not so good. But at this point I'm not willing to restart any of the Round 3 games. The benefits of doing so are outweighed by the inconvenience, especially as I'm trying to get Round 4 going at the moment. If anyone is particularly aggrieved by this decision, you can apply for a refund of your entry fees.

All games appear to have at least 3 days to go until the next deadline so that's sufficient for everyone to realize that the site is back up and to re-submit orders for the next phase. I am not sure how the current deadlines were set. It is possible that everything was extended by a set amount of time from the point at which the hack occurred.

In just over 3 months, Round 3 is now complete. Tournament points have been assigned and the rankings are now up to date (including game 1 from Round 4).
