I would be ok with 2 day turns, although I agree with some of the previous posts that late starts and people dropping out all the time are the main sources of delay.

I would not change the other rules.

Scoring system could be debated for decades and everyone has their own favourite. All that aside, I dont think it should be changed half way through the event.

I’m with Jensen, if I can stay in the tournament and GM some of the games I’m not in, I’m glad to help. Or help in some other way (I don’t know what goes into this).

At the start of round 3 I believe there are 48 players who are still "Live" in the tournament. 4 of these players are not required to play in Round 3 as they have already played more than 2 games. This leaves 44 players which equates to 7 boards with 5 spare spots. Based on round 1 results those players would be seeded into pots as follows:

Sitting out but still Live in the Tournament: Jensen, Strategus, PootleFlump, GameKat. In order to fill any vacancies, I imagine the TD would seek interest from other non-tournament players first. But hey, if it gets things moving, maybe offer up to these players who have shown commitment to helping games along.
There are also 12 players who played round 1 but didn't confirm for round 2. I don't know what correspondence happened between them and TD so I don't know their exact tournament status and whether there is intent for them to be involved in round 3: formless, Latanst1, olster21, SixteenFortyEight, SpoonLicker, zyll, Klendathu, Lady Razor, BullCall, Wargamer, Pete the Great, MasterGR.

Finally, there are 16 match ups to be avoided in Round 3.
