The map looks quite interesting but when I tried to read the details and the variant rules in particular I found it nearly impossible to control and thus read the screen.

But am certainly interested. Would this be played as a site game and with what deadlines?

Sorry for your difficulty. If you like, I can email you a file of the rules in word. I can report to multiple forums, depending on who joins, but I primarily intend to run it as an email game with leisurely deadlines, since it is a playtest and there are a lot of people to talk to. 4-5 days for moves and 2-3 days for builds/adjustments.

 I don't use the special characters so bots can't trawl for my email address. I get enough spam as it is.

Replace the "AT" with an "@" and replace the "DOT" with a ".". If you are still having problems, just pm me with your email address.

Aesthetic notes:
  1. The gray background for the rules text on the map makes the font very hard to read.
  2. I'd consider framing your next draft on a global projection that doesn't leave Europe so tightly squished together.
It suffers from much the same problem as Imperial.
You have loads and loads of space in the south while the north is simply crammed with provinces.
(Though this map is fine in that respect for initial playtesting.)
  3. The names in dark blue water should probably be in white text.
  4. Because of the immensity of the playable space, you might want to explore some means of providing further context as to the extent of each powers' territory in the zoomed-out and zoomed-in views.

Thank you for the comments, NoPunIn10did. In response:

1. Yes, I should probably lighten up the gray.

2. Yeah, Europe is squished, but the map is huge (6,000x3,300) enough already, and making Europe less squished would mean a significantly bigger map. My working map, foe example, was about a third bigger overall. This projection minimizes water areas. Having a bunch of space in the south is just the reality of how the continent's are put together.

3. Not a bad idea.

4. I am not sure what you mean by your last comment. I do give a list of the starting dots for each Power.
