Diplomacy of Ice & Fire II: Spring 301 AC

Postby Aeschines » 20 Jul 2018, 14:56

Fall 301 AC orders are due July 22 at 9pm Eastern Standard Time!

A Spider's Notes: 301/S,

This is a calm before the storm. The alliances are now clear to me and my agents. A new triumvirate, like of Valyria of Old, has arisen. Targaryen, Tyrell, & Baratheon. Apparently, the oldest allegiances have risen to the top as the world is turned upside down. For more than two hundred years, the Baratheons acted as the right hands of the Targaryen kings & queens. And the Tyrells are well known for ceding Highgarden and the Reach to King Aegon the Conqueror at his earliest approach, following his slaying of the last Gardeners. The dragon has three heads. Yet, as Viserys Targaryen's rapidly cooling body can attest, even alliances sealed in blood are no more than words in the wind.

To the chagrin of the Shield & Arbor Islanders, the Lannister's promises of burning the Iron Islands go unfulfilled. Indeed, based on reports I have secured from Oakenshield, the depredations of the desperate Lannisters mirror those of the Ironborn they claimed to replace. Under the guise of Lord Tywin's orders, they have arrested the families of all the ruling lords. To the chagrin of the Tyrells, they have even set themselves up as the new lords and ladies of the Shield Islands. I worry that with Casterly Rock on the verge of falling, the new "lords" of the Shield Islands might seek to claim true independence, adding another "king" to the chaos.

All who walk the halls of power walk the spider's web.

Iskis the Spider

Pootleflump - House Targaryen
Dearest Iskis

We apologise for the tardiness of our orders.

That Groo-Rathen has had me sizing and modelling the merchandise for this new restaurant chain all day. I tell you, I've had t-shirts-on and t-shirts-off for two days solid. Anyway, I hope you like them. I've enclosed a freebie (XXXSmall of course).

Here are the orders for House Targaryen. I trust they are in order.

A Harrenhall move Kings road... succeeded
F D.S.Isle move Bay of Crabs... succeeded
F Pentos move Narrow Sea... succeeded
F The Eyrie move The Fingers... bounced
F Northern Narrow Sea convoy A Braavossi Coast to The Eyrie... convoyed unit failed

We have fortified our palaces and forts with many hot pepper stews and all the Dornish wine we can find. We can wait out this siege as long as our wine and food last, and a few days more. Surrender is not an option; nor is sobriety.

Dear Iskis, while some are enjoying the new restaurant in the capital, those less fortunate are going to battle.
The Baratheons are at war on two sides. King Stannis is leading the armada against Dorne, while young princes Renley and Loras are laying (see what I did there) siege to Castlery Rock.

A Riverrun -> Castlery Rock... bounced
A Stoney Sept -> Westerlands... succeeded

AKFD - House Tyrell
Hi Aeschines and Iskis!

301? Wow, 3 years after Aegon's conquest and things have changed. First off, the rulers of the Greyjoy lands are dead. Then, not later on, dominance is solidified by a certain few.

Now, as the 4th century AC approaches, I'm gonna start taking things to a new level. My men will get extra training for more strength in war.

I will survive.
I will fight.
I will thrive.

I WILL GROW STRONG AMIDST THE WARS.

With that said, this is the order list for House Tyrell:

Armies:
1. Lannisport SUPPORTS Riverrun to Casterly Rock... supported unit failed
2. The Reach SUPPORTS Lannisport to HOLD... supported unit succeeded
3. Highgarden HOLDS... succeeded
4. Sansstone MOVES to Starfall... succeeded
5. Yronwood HOLDS... succeeded

Fleets:
6. Arbor MOVES to Southern Sunset Sea... bounced
7. Salt Shore MOVES to Eastern Summer Sea... succeeded

I would also like to add a second motto: "Flowers are both BEATUIFUL and STRONG"

The end of my message :D

"Growing Strong."

I just realized we should have married Loras and Renley...That would have been some forward thinking for Westeros. The dawn of a new rainbow era or something.

Sorry that Viserys died. He should have gotten his crown first.

Edit: I like the new Dornish motto. When I come to Sunspear we'll drink together Doran.

Are you referencing that scene where Drogo pours molten gold over Viserys?

And I can't drink. I'm too young :(

Yes I am.

And no I wasn't inviting you for a drink, I know you're too young :)
I invited prince Doran the Unsober and Unconcious. He was a good sport.
