I may need others to correct me if I'm wrong on website links since challonge is new to me....

Although the last 2 games are still in progress I am confident we can tell who will win these games and the year won will not make a difference in anyone's seeding so I am going to go ahead and start taking the predictions on the bracket, lets try to hold off starting any of these games until they actually finish those last 2, but it shouldn't stop us from having fun submitting predictions for 2-3 days. Target start date for the tournament being May 8.

Both the bracket and predictions are linked from here

Do we have to make all 31 predictions at the start of the bracket round or just the first 16? And then 2nd round, quarter, semi and grand final predictions once the players have been established for each of the subsequent rounds?

Any picks made must be before the games start even for future rounds, so all 31 would have to be in by Tuesday

The last 2 games have ended and bracket stays as expected. It’s night here but I’ll get some messages out in the morning about starting the games, for now just enjoy making predictions.

Of the 17 submitted bracket predictions of who will make it to the semifinals, to the finals, and to the champion spot, the most common predictions:

11/17 predict that sinnybee will get to the finals (but then lose that last match-up)
10/17 predict that Cliff Dancer will get to the semifinals (but not to the finals)
7/17 predict that mhsmith0 will win the tournament
6/17 predict that mhsmith0 will get to the semifinals (but not to the finals)
6/17 predict that Machor will get to the semifinals (but not to the finals)
4/17 predict that Machor will win the tournament

All of those mhsmith and Machor predictions are going to be quite disappointed when Chaser and I bust all of their brackets and face off in the semifinals

Haha, that would bust everyone's bracket.

My opinion is that by the time we get to the semifinals, Cliff Dancer and I will be the two best players at FvA in the tournament (and probably with mhsmith0 as the third best).
Kind of surprising to me to see that I was the only one who predicted that I would take the top spot and also surprising to me that there was only one prediction of Cliff Dancer taking the top spot.

Why do I think Cliff Dancer is better than mhsmith0?

Well, I don't think that Miller1254 is better than mhsmith0 at FvA, but I think that he has done a very respectable job beating him at several 2PC matches:
Miller won as Germany against mhsmith0 as Russia
Miller won as Germany against mhsmith0 as France
Miller won as Russia against mhsmith0 as France

Now, let's look at the fantastic Pool J:
Miller (2-4) < mkrzyszt (4-2) < Cliff Dancer (6-0)

Miller is a very good FvA player
mkrzyszt is a great FvA player
Cliff Dancer is an amazing FvA player

I have Miller losing to Fatmo in Round 1, but wish he had a lesser opponent so I could have put Miller down for an upset (or two).
I have mkrzyszt down as doing very well.
I wish Cliff Dancer were in the top half of the bracket so I could have him take out mhsmith0 for me lol so that I won't have to study smith's moves for the final.

I think that I make it to the semis while still undefeated (never going to a game 3), but that I will have a very hard challenge against Cliff Dancer and mhsmith0.

Something something Smith is bad at fog of war.

Fwiw I’d say that Jensen is probably underrated as a dark horse, and I’m quite happy to see him on the south side of the bracket. Jensen/sinny may be a fun quarterfinals matchup to watch.

Jensen creeps me out. Yikes, I'd like to see how far he goes! ;)

Why, because he's beaten you? :P
I think that Jensen is overrated--he had two easy opponents in his pool and as I've mentioned before, I think that his loss against Damon could have easily been avoided.
I think that Bravo Papa Alpha would be a harder quarterfinals match-up for me than Jensen would be.
