I think if its a fairly new bike you won't have any problems. A good cell phone, a pocket full of cash, and Road side assistance is all you need.....LoL

Riding with your son will be awesome! I wish I could do that. You weren't born and raised in the states? For some reason I thought you were.

I’ll get the plans for 2023 to you via PlayDip, with luck we’ll trip over each other. The bike isn’t new but in mint condition. The previous owner was meticulous with maintenance & it’s loaded with expensive aftermarket goodies. I’ll buy a new phone in November (My Costa Rican ones are obsolete & no longer work in USA) & will definitely have AAA membership, just in case.
I’m English born & educated, but spent less than half my life there. Climate is challenging & society getting ever more so, along with most of Europe. I have a preference for “wild & free”. Africa, Central America, rural USA etc. Don’t particularly like endless rules. See you next year with any luck.

Cheers V

Well in F02 the NMR’s flood in?....
The games are not password protected after S01 (being ranked) so if repeat NMR’s lead to auto surrenders then it’s up for grabs for anyone to join the game in the surrendered position. I hope that doesn’t lead to further repeated NMR’s & surrenders, but sadly it’s unavoidable for protected games.
Best of luck everyone & thankfully it’s the final round so game delays are probably easier to cope with, although I didn’t put in provision for not processing deadlines at Christmas :o

Best Regards V

Well folks, the last PDL 2022 game is coming to a conclusion & I’d like to take this opportunity to say cheers “& Thanks for all the fish” to the hitchhikers amongst us.
I’ll not be playing this splendid game for a long while hence, because I’m resuming another splendid hobby from my long distant youth, that will occupy all my spare time for the foreseeable future.
I’ve greatly enjoyed playing the last few years on PlayDip & “meeting” you all. I hope you continue to enjoy your games here & congratulations to all & any future PDL champions.
I know who’ll win this year, but won’t “spoil the secret” until Pete the Great publishes the final league table update after the last game finishes. Thanks all for participating in PDL this year & many more to come. Best Regards V

Thanks so much for running this (and stepping in to play as needed) this year V. It was a true honour to share a board with you in an early round, it will remain one of my favorite games of diplomacy for a long time to come.

Enjoy your extended break and resuming your old hobby (biking was it?) , and I hope to see you back here another day.

Yes, thanks so much V for running the league and all the best on your adventures and hobbies!

I may have won the league, but you subbed for me twice during moments that RL dragged me away, so thanks for that and it's your victory too!

Is somebody going to do a final table now all the games are finished?

I need to figure out a glitch. A player left after (round 2, I think). They were replaced and the replacement received a proportioned score and continued to play in future rounds. The player who left then returned (round 4 or 5) but is now replacing someone else. How do I score this individual?

Combine that with a spreadsheet that is broken when it comes to replacing players, it will be mid December before irl allows me to re-examine a less cumbersome spreadsheet I started over the summer.

Alrighty then, time for Uncle Custer to step in and piss off all the rainbow warriors. After a couple vodka's I'm ready to go. Give him a zero for lack of comittment.
