I’ll just make a very general comment here, and say that the two games that have kicked off are VERY unconventional, especially the D1. I couldn’t believe my eyes!

And we have our first surrender (automatic after two NMRs) from longtermparking. They are now evicted from the league.

A replacement has been appointed (and agreed with TTBen as the D2 Divison Manager).

There is only one thing to do: we must torture him and obtain a signed confession. TWO things. One, torture; two, obtain a signed confession; three, nothing, there is NO THIRD THING. Is that clear?

Surrenders are going to happen in a long-term league like this. They just will.

I have no doubt the directors took as much care as reasonably possible to minimize the chances of it happening. It just still happens anyway.

SimonMH has failed to join their first game and has been evicted from the league. Durkeety as the next reserve player has taken the place.

You need to design your league in the knowledge that surrenders are inevitable. No sanction will change that. It's not football.

It is so designed.
Woolgie’s done a great job of making the replacement process slick & seamless as can probably be achieved.
Yes, quitters are inevitable, yes, they are permanently removed, no, they aren’t welcome.
Replacements are available that are welcome. Matter resolved rapidly without drama.
