Do we know that mjparrett is sticking in the league as the permanent replacement for the_discourses? Or did he just fill in for the one game?

I'd check for hidden knives before letting any of us in the club if I were security

By my tabulation*, Martz is now leading the league. I will save the rest of my thoughts on that for when the February game is over and we have the identities of the players who earned the scores we already know about.
(* I am keeping my own dual scoresheet for D1. One is my tally of the official league scores, and the other is a set of "alt-scores" that corresponds to how the games would have been scored under a system that I am developing. As I did in 2018, I would be happy to share the alt-scores with the D1 players if there is any interest, since it is your games I'm using as my test cases!)

I am in self-imposed hiatus due to real-life restrictions that prevent me from committing the time for a single game, let alone a yearlong league.

The break until July which will be sufficient to raise the appetite again. I’ve found Dip breaks vital (especially my end of year Christmas break). If I don’t get breaks I stop enjoying it & the standard of my play gets significantly worse.
PDL (& a few interesting surrendered positions mixed in) is quite sufficient for a year’s worth of Diplomacy in my book.
See you folks in July & well played Martz in the March game. Best Regards V
