I love Three Kingdoms! [I have actually read it! . . . .was way long but way cool. I highly recomend it for those of you that know of it just from the video games]

P.S. there is a cool looking diplomacy variant called "Mandate of Heaven"

It is set in Chinas warring states period and is cool because it is more focused on china as opposed to the three kingdoms map which has powers outside of china. It also incorporated river travel and one of the players in invading barbarians! I would very much like to play it sometime in the future! But for now I will play in the three kingdoms.
