Did you know there's a new Three Kingdoms tv series coming out in China in 2010? I'm so excited!

A Warring States map would be cool. There were really seven kingdoms in that one, so it would work pretty well for Diplomacy.

There's also a movie based on Three Kingdoms. I need to see it - it's been released in China. I want to see that series too! Let me know if you get a subtitled version of it.

Hmm. It depends on what era you go to. I think around 200 (Battle of Guan Du) would work well. Yuan Shao, Sun Ce (was it his brother Quan yet?), Cao Cao, Ma Teng, Liu Zhang, Liu Bei, Liu Biao.

There are several movies based on the Three Kingdoms. I've seen Resurrection of the Dragon, which is about Zhao Yun, and the two Red Cliff films. There are probably subtitled versions on the internet somewhere.

A slight extension of deadlines is in place because someone's computer melted. Will post new map as soon as the orders are in.

Alright here's the deal.

I haven't heard from nickjb since the game started. He told me when we started that he was goin on a couple three day absences in the next couple weeks but failed to mention when.

I don't want the first game of this to be ruined by first year NMRs. What do you guys think we should do? Should I wait for him, or maybe get an E.G. for his orders?

I haven't seen him lately.

...I'm not sure. If he's in an alliance already, the first moves could be critical, depending on their plan.

I would rather wait. As long as he can make the rest regularly, I can wait a little longer for the thing to start.

We did have some diplomacy together a few days ago. He didn't mention anything about going away or such. I would rather wait because I would benefit very much if he was to NMR.
