Russian colours

Can someone confirm for me that I'm not going overly mad:

1. All countries have the same colour for their armies and fleets.

2. Except for Russia.

Sounds like a bug or a glitch.

Or both, which would be a glug.

Or a bitch...?

Doesn't sound normal, and you're probably not going any more mad than the rest of us :)

It could be an optical illusion due to the display settings for your computer/hand-held/whatever. Because of the way the Russian "purple" interacts with the surrounding background, it may apper to be a different hue. (Remember that meme about the Black and gold dress?)

Are you being deliberately inflammatory?! It was white and gold *or* black and blue, not black and gold (unless your monitor had gone made) ;)

I was hoping this thread was someone grumbling about how Russia should be white on the playdip board, and then I was going to vociferously agree.

Although since the question was asked, I will go to my grave swearing the dress was white/gold.

Agreed. I'm not usually one for conspiracy theories, and I do think we landed on the moon and all that, but any picture of showing the "same" dress in a different light such that it looks blue and black was clearly doctored by the Illuminati to establish their Blue And Black Dress World Order.

Another colour one for you crazies (white and gold, indeed!): here.

Back to the serious subject of my sanity. Turns out I'm okay (we'll ignore the fact that I spent time looking into it), and the Ruskie unit colours are off. Copied into Paint and inverted, where you can clearly see the difference.

The un-inverted army colour in paint is reporting as R204/G115/B248 and the fleet as R186/G64/B242. Hue/Sat/Lum are the same.

Now, if only I could find those hairs on my palms . . .

EDIT: Redacted, as that was my PDET. Ooops. Just take my word for it.
