This is correct if you convoy a Canadian army to the European theatre. Canadian armies can be convoyed without restriction if the destination is within the North American theatre.

But yes, the idea is that a power must capture an opposite-continent SC with a fleet first before it can convoy troops there. One other way to get Army units on the opposite continent is to capture a Major Harbor and then eventually build there (same for New Spain capturing Cadiz), but I don't expect to see that terribly often.

So, as an example, a USA player wanting to make an early invasion of Europe might send Fleet Boston to Ireland via NAD (possibly with French support). I can't speak to whether this strategy would actually work, as it's not been done before.

So you can have 2 in the new land (US)...2 in EU (France)...1 guaranteed in each (Britain/Canada)...or you can pair any of the others (but have to go 1 and 1?)

This has already been sent out to my players, but for others following this thread, I've made an aesthetic update to the map and noted it on the first post.

Awesome work, nopunin10did, and a gorgeous map!

I skimmed the rules and haven't followed the game at all, but just looking at the map and reading some about the concept sure has my interest piqued. I'll stick to vanilla Diplomacy for now as I've just joined the site but this variant looks really fun.
