World Influence Fall 2017

Well, that was a rough season for some people. Japan finds support in gaining an SC to keep alive. Mexico continues his slow decline down to one. USA supported Russia to hold in his last SC, but apparently Russia didn't want it...so he moved out. This eliminates Russia (all his units already disbanded...thanks for playing), and keeps the US at 1SC. France is seeing how fast he can go from world power to minor power, while our new Ayatollah is realizing the job wasn't as easy as he was promised. Australia continues to just hold 1/3 of his pieces. Our LAST minor took a cruise and is now eliminated...Say good bye to North Korea.

Unfortunately we also have (I think our first) NMR during a move phase from Nigeria. Its unfortunate, but doesn't actually cost him anything.

We have retreats from Brazil, Iran, Israel. Retreats are due ASAP, but no later than 5/4 11:59 pm GMT, 7pm EST

One tricky adjudication around the seas just SE of Africa...so if that could be double checked that would be great.

Also, the North Korean army would like to get their vacation in before they have to disband... the unit's not actually on the map though the orders are all marked as having gone through (Vla -> SOJ -> WCP -> NPH -> PAL -> JAV -> Mdn).

Wow, I thought I might have one last hurrah in me, but I gave my life to give USA one more turn, which is ironic, but fitting.
I would like to thank Germany and Japan for the early stabs that began my descent. Japan will be joining me in the clouds soon, but Germany may have a bright future. All the best to him. I've got some time to work on my AAR now. I'm working on good titles:

"The Winter of our Discontent"
"From Russia with Love"
"How having four fronts might be a disadvantage"

I'll take suggestions for other good ones.

Special thanks to Germany who despite the stab was a great communicator and made the game fun (when not killing me), to GhostEcho who, despite his late (and totally legitimate) stab, was one of my best allies in the game and communicated well. To BigBert (RIP) who was a great ally until he had to take a powder, and finally to my most unlikely ally, Israel, who after a rough beginning proved to be very loyal. Play on, and good luck. I'll be watching.
Asu, keep me on the mailing list so that I can keep up with the game.

It landed...then disbanded...same as the Russian units so that I don't have to deal with it later.

Thanks for the kind words Russia. I really enjoyed our conversations especially before my stab and again towards the end. I hated (and loved) the hard fight you gave me for every inch of your territory in the west (with credit to Israel for his effective support of your efforts - no doubt there there it is only unfortunate circumstances that seem to give credence to the whispers of "Ally with Israel and then you die").
