Some useful links for any gamer, not just Diplomacy players, to some classics:

A Book of Five Rings, by Miyamoto Musashi http://samuraiconsulting.ca/5rings/

The Art of War, by Sun Tzu http://www.sonshi.com/learn.html

On War, by Carl von Clausewitz http://www.clausewitz.com/readings/OnWar1873/TOC.htm

The Prince, by Niccolò Machiavelli http://www.gutenberg.org/files/1232/1232-h/1232-h.htm
Play every game of Diplomacy as if it will be the last game of Diplomacy you will ever play.

The Diplomatic Pouch 'Zine is the source of all those great articles on diplom.org:

http://diplom.org/Zine/

Be part of that heritage and contribute your own strategy and tactics articles... or any other articles. PM me for details.

If people are looking for a good simulator (to test out moves, make sure they are legal, ect. ) JDip is one of the best I have ever seen. http://jdip.sourceforge.net/index.html It can also be used for F2F games where you lack a board.
