Hi all,

I was on here a good few years back and I am hoping to make some good friends. I am UK based and looking forward to playing again.

Kind regards

Hi Dave from Leicester..

Welcome back!!

Scots lass, Jen here from West of Glasgow, on the wonderful Ayrshire coast.

There are a group of us from the UK who (pre-covid) were meeting up a couple of times a year to play face-to-face (Big Gun, Strategus, Phlegmatic, Woolgie, Jack, Tobetan Blackbird to name a few!). Recently we've managed the odd virtual, online live game too.

Let us know if you'd like added to the WhatsApp group.

MaccCon (bi-annual f2f event in Macclesfield) is coming up in March. Sadly it has to be an online, virtual f2f tournament for now. But would be great to see/hear you there.

Welcome back and hope to see you in a game soon.

Thanks Perygl.

I didn't say I was any good..... ;)

I used to play the board version back in the '70's at school wargames society, so things have changed quite a bit......

Hi Jen,

Many thanks. You live in my favorite part of the UK by a wide margin and I am very jealous!
I have some very good friends in Inverness and get up there as often as possible.
I do have an absolute need to visit Islay to visit the birthplace of my favorite dram at some point....

I am unsure about F2F, although it does sound good. The last time I played F2F was the late '70's!

I have set up a game, so hopefully will be getting restarted fairly soon...

Kind regards

Dave

Then you MUST pop in on your way past.

I have four Islay's on the go: Bunnahabhain, Ileach , Ardbeg and Islay Storm. There's no such thing as a bad Islay dram. The only problem being you can never just stop at the one.

I always have a Lagavulin 16 in the house, that and Highland Park. I also have Bunnahabhain (my next favohrite) and Laphroaig....A few other Highlands and a Skye.

Just love Malts....

Welcome back Dave,

Also based in the UK, a little further East of you in Norfolk.

Quite partial to Laphroaig or most peated whisky's myself.

Hope to see you on the battlefield soon.
