Water Water Everywhere 7/7

Postby Morg » 06 Oct 2014, 09:50

Restarting this due to renewed interest. The last one got oh so close to starting several times, but eventually petered out.

It's a novel twist on the standard map. All non-SCs are sea territories, though Switzerland remains unpassable. Set in Winter 1900, all other rules are standard. Though it does have the interesting facet of Kiel having a south coast while also having a canal on it's north coast. Plenty of other newly bi-coastal provinces. Convoying from St Petersburg to Smyrna doesn't get any easier than on the regular map, but you can convoy from St Petersburg to Sevastopol if you wanted to.

game will be run on a 3/2/2 basis. I go out of my way to ensure that there are no NMRs, so I little tolerance for when they do happen. An NMR in Winter 1900 or Spring 1901 earns an automatic replacement. 2 NMRs total also earns replacement.

All players will be assigned countries by blind auction, so whatever you do don't state which country you'd prefer.

Now that I've survive the beginning-of-school panic, I've got time again and I'd like to play.

Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne,

I'm just posting to confirm I'm still interested.
Istanbul was Constantinople when London was just a backwater town.

So unfortunately this game has ended. So it's not open for new players. If you'd like to join a forum game I'd suggest starting here. If you just want to use this variant for other purposes, that's no problem at all.
