Can I have my Ambassador status back?

The system is automatic, no manual action is required. When you have completed the qualifying criteria you will automatically be made an Ambassador. You have currently only played through 2 games. You have to do do 3.

Does the count of “finished” games include ongoing games where the player in question has already been eliminated?

Nope. The game has to finish.

That's what happened. A game I had been eliminated from completed and now my Ambassador status is restored - thanks!
