Everybody is an Ambassador?

Postby Zubb » 02 Dec 2015, 16:10

Am I wrong? Looking at site stats - 2354 out of 2798 active players are Ambassadors? This is like ~85%, up from ~20% when it all began? So basically no one ever surrenders anymore after a few years of Playdip Scoring system?

Or do inactive Ambassadors count towards the total? I'm a bit confused with how the whole thing works now.

Yes, but how many are real chatterboxes and are Star Ambassadors. Those is the ones I am interested in.

292? I feel a bit more privileged then :D

Considering there aren't many diplomats left, I seem to get them ALL the time in my games :(

Can "Star Ambassador" status drop off if you don't play in any active games for awhile?

When mine is in danger - I've spent a few years in a stalemate game where opposition just refused to draw.

We got so bored we posted our orders in the public press ...

I don't think you can lose it for not playing active games. If you become inactive you don't lose anything. When you become active again you pick up where you left off. However, you do lose it if your messaging falls off. I just lost mine after a protracted almost-stalemated game where there was very little need of anymore messaging and yet the years dragged on. Hoping to get it back soon. I miss it. :(
