Well played Swaim, well played. Figure you would betray me soon, since I had a feeling you were BS'ing with saying the coalition was indefinite.

So, rest of the world, Prussia has reached 12 SC's, more than half way to victory, and the closest second Is the Otomans with 8. Can we work together against Prussia?

For the record, I do have no problem with letting Prussia have all my SC's if I do not receive help.

There is a mistake in adjudication:
For Ottoman - there should be a fleet in East Med, and no fleet in Cen, as East Med tried to move into Ion and there should be a bounce.

How right you are! I will correct that mistake with the winter builds.

Ah, but first a rules question. The only time that the rules mention ending coalitions is in the Fall phase. Can they be ended in the alliance phase? Because if not, things are going to be interesting.

I think from the rules as they currently are written, coalitions can only be broken during the fall orders phase. This is a nuance in the rules that I did not anticipate and will need to be fixed for the future. I did not consider a situation where a power is in a coalition with another nation that achieves empire status. In this case, should the nation trapped in the coalition with the empire be allowed to join an anti-imperial coalition during any phase? Perhaps that can be a rules change for the future, but as it currently stands this clause is key:

Any nation desiring to leave a coalition must reveal its intentions to the game Master in the Fall Orders Phase with the dissolution of a coalition being announced with the Fall Orders.

Since there is no mention of a specific scenario involving an empire and a regular nation, I think that the above rule remains in effect and any coalition must be broken in the fall orders phase. Although, it is still possible to form an anti-imperial coalition during any phase, provided all the players involved CC me in on the negotiations so that I can announce it publically.
