Yeah, a zoom call is probably gonna be easier imo, assuming share screen lets you share audio too...which I think it does, IIRC?

Okay! I ran a test using my laptop as the host and my phone as an attendee. There is a very slight delay between the host's screen and the attendee screen, but it's only about half a second. There was also a very small sync error between audio and video, but I actually think that's the fault of the video itself and not Zoom. It's definitely some kind of DVD rip, and has foreign subtitles (not sure what language, looks Eastern European possibly).

BUT! I was able to get mostly smooth video, and this will totally work.

Fantastic!
That way we can pause it to make fun of it if and when we want to.
Also, if someone has to join late, they can join the action synced up to everyone else.

And bathroom breaks, etc etc etc.

Okay happy people! Give me your best days and times. I'm free any evening basically from 6 Eastern onward, though 7 or later is better if we want a chance of strongarming Zoomzip into joining.

I live within walking distance of a theater that shows the room either once a week or once a month. Maybe after people can actually gather anywhere again I’ll actually go to that.
You don't know what I'm thinking...because I don't know what I'm doing.

For me, if we do this sometime in the next 10 days, it needs to be on a

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday at 9pm Eastern (6pm Pacific) or later.

I hope that works for everyone.

We're not, unfortunately. Our calendars are weirdly busier than ever, just via Zoom. I'm afraid I'm impossible to plan for, so just schedule something that works for y'all and if I'm free I'll join.
Did you know there’s a faceless old woman who secretly lives in your home? It’s true. She’s there now. She’s always there, just out of your sight. Always just out of your sight.
