Social Thread

Mafia is a forum game of strategy, deduction, persuasion, clever traps, nerve and deception. Every game is unique and playing it with those who play diplomacy as well makes it all the more challenging and interesting. We have a unique mafia community on the site and we're always looking for fresh blood.

The dirty secret of the Official Adulthood Book is that you can never fill it. You start out needing two stamps, but as soon as you have one, a third blank space magically appears, and a fourth and fifth appear when you get your second. You will never have that book more than half full, and you'll spend the rest of your life wondering when you'll become an adult, and why anyone else seems to believe you are.

How many stamps does being late on a bill get you?

Not quite enough to pay off the next bill.
A pretty young girl who's not dumb
But started to feel somewhat glum,
Did leave for a time,
Now comes back to rhyme,
And also to kill her some scum.

I was thinking it might be fun to have another playdip mafia noob game some time. I don't really know how because the last noob game... er... I was the noob... but were these generally fun and effective back in the day?

You can probably run one now!

The key is to put a lot of mechanics in. The more complicated the better. Noobs should learn how to deal with mechanics, and what better place than a friendly noob game?

Conversion, resurrection, GMs lying, and random modkills are my preferred tools to teach new players.

Random Modkill Noob Mafia

Where each day one player randomly gets a modkill and super angry message in all caps citing random fake rules they broke.
