Quick Information

Name of Country – Terra
Government type – Republic of City States (Details Below)
Population – 2 billion (Increase .01% per year)
Capital – Ziemia
Location - RL Midwestern US
Military – 1,000,000 (0.05% of total population)
Other Information - Most Terrans live underground in ten massive cities connected by vast networks of tunnels. The five largest of these cities are built in a ring, with a military base in the center. They are 100 miles from each other (along the circle) and 80 miles from the military base.

Details

Government: Terra is a republic formed from five city states. Each of these cities has its own elected government, the highest level of which is a council of 50 members who make most of the decisions for their city. Intercity affairs, foreign relations and other such decisions are made by the senate which is composed of ten members from each city, elected by that city’s council.

Ideals: We believe that knowledge and gold are power and thus strive for both.

Society: The majority of Terrans are part of the lower-middle class, holding jobs either tending underground crops, mining or constructing and maintaining the tunnel network. The middle-upper class often work for the massive research corporations that research technologies from government contracts. The upper class often owns such companies or are among those who heavily invested in the Terran Mining Company, the largest company in terra.

Military: 1,000,000
The Terran military is a small, but highly trained and well equipped force. With about 8 million CCs a year devoted to the training and equipping of each individual, they are the pride of Terra. Due to this reputation large numbers of Terrans volunteer for military service, however only the very the best can survive the numerous cuts and finish the 2 year training process. The military is comprised of three branches the Infantry, Armor and Navy. Though the training processes varies between branches, the same standard of quality is held across the board.

Infantry: 600,000
The Terran infantry specialize in urban and underground combat, typically working in small teams with the focus of winning wars one room, street or tunnel at a time. They are taught to use the Infodio systems to their advantage, collapsing and opening tunnels to surprise the enemy at every turn. They are separated into three main classes: Lucis, Gravis and Insinuendi.

Lucis class (175,000): Outfitted with a lightweight combat suit designed for urban combat with unbelievable speed and maneuverability. The suit is plated Clypeus armor and a deployable layer Aestimatus Infodio Armor allow these suits to withstand a decent amount of fire while still maintaining maneuverability. Their armament consists of two grav guns, two shoulder mounted medium laser turrets, two Perdio bombs, a few Perdio grenades and four small laser turrets which can intercept incoming projectiles and/or interfere with enemy targeting systems.

Gravis class (400,000): Armed with heavy combat suit designed for use in open warfare with the firepower to rival most tanks. These suits have multiple layers of plated Clypeus armor and can deploy multiple layers of Aestimatus Infodio Armor (which can be used to increase personal defense, create instant cover or protect a friendly combatant under heavy fire). They carry two grav guns, two under-arm rocket launchers, four shoulder mounted medium laser turrets, four Perdio bombs, numerous Perdio grenades and eight small laser turrets.

Insinuendi class (25,000): Trained to use a stealth combat suit designed for infiltrating enemy lines which is virtually impossible to detect. The suits have thin plating of Clypeus armor, augmented by a lining a Mirror armor provide protection from small arms fire and EMPs. They carry a semi-silenced grav gun, a localized EMP, a Perdio bomb, a couple Perdio grenades and a pair of small laser turrets for disabling enemy detection systems.

Armor: 250,000
Members of the Terran armored division are trained to use their vehicles with maximum effect, especially in urban and underground combat. They know how to fire the guns so as not to bring down a tunnel or building on themselves and how to collapse such structures on the enemy. They are taught to work in almost perfect unison with friendly infantry and TerraSubs. In addition to combat skills, members of the Terran Armor are trained to be able to perform maintenance and repair their tanks while in combat zones.

The Titan (12): A Sybus-made monolithic combat machine.

Sentinel Main Battle Tank (10,000): A main battle tank, armed with a 50mm supervelocity coilgun as its main gun, able to penetrate even the thickest tank armor. It can fire much more rapidly than traditional guns, due to its design. The rounds are specially designed high penetration rounds, and with the extremely high muzzle velocity of 5221 m/s at the barrel, it is incredibly penetrating. The tank has 2 separate fusion powerplants, in the heart of the tank (to prevent destruction). The armor is battlesteel v2 on the outside for 150 mm, and then an extra 650 mm of Sybus' brass tacks. It does have repulsors, so it hovers over terrain, allowing it to reach its top speed virtually anywhere (except in a forest or jungle), which is 100 kph. Its secondary armament includes a 30 mm coilgun to mow down unarmored targets near the tank, as well as 10 rakurai stage 3 missiles. It has a crew of 3, and the main gun can rotate 360 degrees. In addition, maintenance of the coilgun is easy, as the barrel just pops off, and can be replaced. Defensively, it has 3 lasers and a rocketstopper.

Brutus Heavy Tank (5,000): Take a Sentinel tank and replace the Repulsors with Scopulus Armored Propulsion, increasing armor and maneuverability at the cost of speed. Next remove the secondary coilgun, defensive lasers, and six Rakurai missiles sites. Replace these with three large laser cannons, 15 small laser turrets, two Rakurai TerraTorpedoes tubes and twelve Perdio bomb sites respectively. Finally attach a Scopulus cannon to all the weapons. The result is a Sentinel tank which sacrifices range and speed for armor, firepower and the ability to engage in underground combat.

Velox Light Tank (2,000): Take a Sentinel tank and strip off most of the armor and add a layer of Scopulus Armored Propulsion. Next remove all of the ten Rakurai missiles sites, the secondary coilgun, and defensive lasers. Then add a two Rakurai TerraTorpedoes tubes, a large laser cannon, three medium laser turrets and five small laser turrets. Next throw a Scopulus cannon to all the weapons and attatch an array of Scopulus cannons to the front. These will allow the tank to use it replusors underground, making it the fastest vehicle below the surface of the earth. Finally, add a stealth system similar to that of the Furtus class TerraSub.

Parvos Drones (1,000,000): Marvels of mass production, Parvos drones are relatively small disk shaped drones which overwhelm the enemy with their sheer numbers. They are propelled by Ieiunium Infodio and have a thin layer of conventional armor. They are armed with a pair of grav guns and a small laser turrets on their top and bottom.

Ieiunium Drones (100,000): Designed for speed and stealth, Ieiunium Drones are small torpedo shaped drones which can quickly sneak up on an enemy. They are propelled by a large amount of Ieiunium Infodio and have a thin layer of Mythril laced Achilles armor. They are armed with a rail gun, which runs the length of the drone.

Fortis Drones (250,000): Designed for durability, Fortis Drones are large spherical drones which can withstand a significant amount of punishment. They are propelled by Ieiunium Infodio and a large amount of Fortis Infodio and have a multiple layers of Mythril laced Achilles armor. They are armed with four TerraTorpedo tubes and four medium laser turrets.

Exedunt Drones (150,000): Designed for firepower, Exedunt Drones are shaped exactly like Parvos drones so that they can blend in with the swarm. They are propelled by a mixture of Ieiunium Infodio and Fortis Infodio and have a thin layer of Mythril laced Achilles armor under their exterior shell of conventional armor (for blending with the Parvos drones). They are armed with a pair of rail guns and a medium laser turret on their top and bottom.

Navy: 150,000
Members of the Terran Navy are trained to use these subs together so as to maximize strengths and minimize weaknesses. They know how to use the Infodio and Scopulus systems to their advantage and are trained physically and mental to endure long trips in the confined space of the subs. Also, they are capable of fixing their vehicles in combat situations. Currently three classes of TerraSubs are utilized by our Navy: Furtus, Infernus, and Exscindo.

Furtus class (1,000): Prioritizing speed and stealth, the Furtus class TerranSub is capable of delivering a devastating strike when the enemy least expects it. With a sleek torpedo-like shape and Ieiunium Infodio propulsion, they are the fastest subs underground. Its primary armament is an Infodio cannon equipped coilgun that runs the length of the sub, supplemented by six Perdio slots and twin Rakurai terra-torpedo tubes. For defense it has a band of Aestimatus Infodio Armor and layered Clypeus and Mirror armors. Due to its small size, unique design and advanced stealth system, the Furtus class TerranSub can evade any know detection method.

Infernus class (5,000): The versatile Infernus class TerranSub is the backbone of the Terran navy. Its disk-like shape and Ieiunium Infodio propulsion provide it with unparalleled maneuverability allowing the Infernus class dominate in TerraSub v TerraSub combat. A substantial exterior layer of Fortis Infodio Armor, a base layer of Aestimatus Infodio Armor, multiple layers of Clypeus and Mirror armors, a hydra shielding system and twelve small laser turrets equipped with Infodio cannons (which can intercept enemy TerraTorpedoes with ease) makes it extremely difficult to destroy. The Infernus class TerranSub’s offensive capability consists of four rail guns, eight large laser turrets (which work in pairs to create weaken an enemy’s armor so that the rail guns can do maximum damage), eight Rakurai terra-torpedo tubes and twenty Perdio slots.

Exscindo class (250): Acting as a mobile fortress, an Exscindo class TerranSub can carry a massive payload, host smaller TerranSubs and withstand an unbelievable amount of fire. It is shaped like a massive sphere with protruding modules for docking smaller TerranSubs, which allows it to host up to four Furtus Class TerranSubs. It is protected by an enormous cloud of Fortis Infodio Armor, supplemented by strategically placed bands of Aestimatus Infodio Armor, a massive hull of layered Clypeus and Mirror armors, multiple hydra shielding systems and multiple clusters of Infodio cannon equipped small laser turrets. It also carries sixteen infodio cannon equipped rail guns, each supported by a pair of large laser turrets, twenty Rakurai terra-torpedo tubes and hundreds of Perdio slots.

Research: The research of technologies and building of projects is not directly done by the Terran government but instead contracted out to private companies this allows our research to be limited only by the amount of funding that we put into it. Many of these companies specialize in specific fields of research, such as laser, Infodio or TerraSub development.

Too many starting techs. And Austland does not like other nations to enter the realm of bioengineering... *hint hint*

Other than that, welcome from Austland! Embassy exchange?

Welcome to the world, "Terra"

The UCI is always glad to see a new nation arise. Perhaps our nations could exchange embassies?

I would also like to suggest that your nation procure "Terrasub" technology. While the UCI doesn't use Terrasubs, I imagine they would be very useful to you.

Finally, OOCly, it would be a good idea for you to specify where the cities are.

Welcome to CYOC from the UAE Terra! Embassy trade?

Question: It would be helpful to put the locations of these cities. They can be HFPV[secret], but it more follows convention to say the location of your nation.

I had three starting techs, basic gentic engineering, semi-advanced lasers (it seems OP nations have laser rifels, thus a turrent should not be too advanced), and Infodio. The other two techs are being researched (I am paying 25% of my budget to do so). If one of the three techs I am starting with is OP, I will change it.

We would be glad to exchange embassies and will look into procuring some Terrasubs.

As to my location, I am in/under the Rockies near Montana (I am trying to find the precise locations of other nations in the area first).

Don't mind JcD, he's just a little touchy when other people start Bio Tech... He thinks it will degrade the value of his tech... Still, don't try to piss him off, he has been known to act[invade] on impulse... Also, JcD owns the rights to terra sub tech and production, so contact him if you want any. :D
