A continuation of this, for the new era.

Post here any advancements in technology/activity of scientists. Be sure to include some background of what the project is about when you start it. If you want to do a secret project, you must still announce the start of the project plus some signs that it is going on, even if you do not publish it completely. This is to ensure people don't just claim to have random things.

We have an ongoing project in levitation: we have developed some supermagnets (used in our bullet trains), and are currently investigating quantum levitation and repulsor technology

the FCS is currently researching Underwater Habitation as its largest project. the technology is (somewhat) close to completion, and when it is done, we will be able to build underwater living facilities. we will probably use them to colonize the ocean floor, in hopes of tapping into otherwise unreachable resources. we are very, very close to perfecting temporary underwater habitation and construction; when it is finished, we will be able to construct underwater bullet trains, which will provide much faster transport between our islands than boats. finally, underwater colonies may have military use.

we are also trying to integrate our water-based material into aircraft, using jet engine technology courtesy of New York.

Psychology: Studying the impact of isolation, very few scientists needed, completing due in the next 3 years!

The Weapon: The construction of a super-weapon, details of this are confidential, although a few Möbius sources claim that it is a continuation of our genetics project. implication due in 19 years.

Human GM: ALL details of this kept secret, except the fact that we are doing it.

The Collective considers biological warfare to be unethical and, like the MAD principle, a really stupid idea.

the FCS and Mattopia are cooperating in the production of underwater bullet trains. the construction of the components has started, and hopefully we will soon be able to open the first underwater bullet train, which will run from New Havana, Cuba to Kingston, Jamaica.

EDIT: the project is expected to be completed in about one game year.

The NCJ is currently researching advanced naval ships, right now we are working civillian boats. We are now reverse engineering some ships given to us by mattopia. and well it cut down research time in half and now well it will be done in half a year.(thats reasonable right)?

Biological warfare is absolutely unethical, but it is in every way a sicnece worth understanding.

I'd suggest one year for the plans (2 RL days).
Then you'd have to build capacity (6 months in game), that would put out your first ship.
Then, after that, you'd probably be able to make 2 ships every 6 months for a year, then 6-8 a year after that, until you upgrade more. That is what I'm currently doing with my new ships, except with a 2 year research time.
Note: obviously, you'd stop building after a while
