Nomic 6 Interest

Postby Pagane » 09 Apr 2014, 00:17

Please leave a post here if you're interested in joining a new game of Nomic!

The big question: what rules (in particular from Nomic 5) should be included in the standard starting set? It's generally accepted that something akin to N5's 301 is necessary to make the turns more understandable, so that's practically a given.

I'm in. I think we should also have way of the force and thingagenesis, but that's just my opinion.

Way of force thigagenesis, and the rule that gives connect4 200 points to start would work for me.

And if you can't tell, i would be in.

I have watched these games on and off for a while now, so if a new game is starting I would like to join. :D

Also if somone could send me anything on the basics of nomic gameplay, that would be really helpful. I've tried to pick up what I can from watching (but that is probably not enough), and dispite looking through this site and the vastness of google I can't find anything that details how to play exactly.

Basic gameplay: players pass laws. A player proposes it, it gets voted on, and if it passes it goes into effect. At the start of the game, the rules state that a player wins if they achieve a minimum number of points, which are achieved based on passing proposals. As the game progresses, other gameplay and ways to win may open up. All depends on what we pass :)

I might be interested based upon when it's starting.

Dunno when yet. What timeline works for you?

And would Collector's Edition be included in Thingagenesis? If we include one I'd like to include the other.
My first thought is that The Way of the Force is too much to start a game with, but it was so well done and hardly used at all that my opinion on the subject is very changeable.

Anytime that I'm not currently in a Mafia game. So, right now, or in the immediate future, should work pretty well.

Shouldn't take too long to get started. Since players can join in at any time during the game, we don't have to wait to get the total number of players that we want.
