hmmmm
It is better to have scs then allies, assuming something aproaching equal combat power in each

Your credibility with eliminated powers is irrelavant

Keep your allies happy enough that they stay allies

I think we both got a little to carried away with centralization. I see a short game coming.

I can't see the reversed notation in my head, but trebuchet to my fortress shoots the horse to its upper left. I think thats check.

Actually, if a catupult can take a peice with its move then shoot thats checkmate, otherwise its not even check.

My moves to date have been based on the assumption that catuputs can move(and capture) and shoot in the same turn. This is why I played catupult shoots dragon rather than catupult shoots catupult. It was a clearance sack to put my trebuchet on my fortress to trap the king (although I didn't realize quite how well that worked) (it is only now that I realize that might not be possible since it could be interperated as two combats in a turn :( ). If I have misread the rules in this please tell me as soon as possible to avoid further confusion. If not, we need a better setup for the next game.

Actually, my king wouldn't be checked regardless, because ranged units cannot shoot from water tiles.

Water stops a unit’s movement once they enter it. That unit can not be moved next turn and must wait until that turn is passed before it moves again. Trebuchets, Catapults, Crossbowmen can not attack while they are in this tile
