Is it me or does the map look like it could be close if not already in a stalemate? Unless we attack each other, which leads to winterfell breaking that stalemate and gaining more sc's.

I wondered when/if ANYONE would wake up and realize this. I am, like. EIGHT centers away from solo. This ridiculous "sitzkrieg" is going to have to break and someone is going to have to take some chances to move the game forward.

I have offered alliance/assistance to at least 3 other powers IF IF IF they will make some bold moves to put themselves into a top tier position, but so far, no takers.

For the record, I will veto a 5-way draw from now until the 23rd century, so the game really does need to move towards an end game.

Hmmm, I'm pretty good at math and considering I haven't received such an offer... But, knowing AA, those offers were probably similar to the offers he make RiverRun, Aiel, and D'Hara earlier in the game. You know, attack Borderlands and Midlands while I grow and grow and grow......and then when I'm done growing, I'll try to stab you for the solo. But, when I fail in my stab then you attack your neighbor again until I can try to stab you again for the solo. That's been his MO the entire game.

For the record, I will veto a 5-way draw from now until the 23rd century, so the game really does need to move towards an end game.

Lol at poor, frustrated, bitter little Midlands. He alone in this game has mastered the art of accomplishing nothing! LOL

for the record, I think the strategy he describes, of collaborating until an opportunity presents itself to make a leap forward, pretty much describes the strategy employed by any decent player in any game. we've seen it employed to varying degrees by at least 4 players in this game

also, for the record, I have NEVER asked any other player to abandon all defenses between us. I believe good fences make good neighbors. If someone is going to strip their defenses to nothing, then heck yeah, I'm gonna grab. if I ever leave an entire sector with zero defenses, please, please, please stab me, because I am taking waaaay too much for granted in our alluance
I repeat - I am EIGHT away from solo, and with what we have seen of the stalemate lines in this game, that's not gonna happen anytime soon. so, who else wants to lick down a winning hand in this game?

I think you have miscalculated my frustration and bitterness level. Not frustrated or bitter in the least.

LOL though at your offer to put somebody else in a "top-tier" position. Surely you meant second banana position because, you know, somebody would have to be totally whacko to think that you would intentionally slow your growth or even worse cede a center to maintain balance of power.

You can laugh all you want at the accomplishments that Midlands may or may not have achieved this game. But all you have achieved this game with your runaway growth and stabbing of every player left on the board is the absolute real possibility of a 5-way draw. Whether you like that thought or not, there will come a time when you may need to accept it.

Midlands once again proposes a 5-way draw. If there is another player left in this game that would believe your propaganda and that you wouldn't stab them for a solo in a heartbeat given the opportunity would deserve what they get should they decide to go in a different direction.

will I intentionally slow myself down? nope. don't need to - already clear it will take herculean effort for me to keep gaining

will I handover a center for free? Nope. never belived in that sort of charity, despite your repeated requests for it

will I cooperate with, support and assist another power to gain ground ? absolutely

is there any other power capable of catching up or even surpassing me? It doesn't take an algebra whiz to count the gains Borderlands could make within 2 years if he makes the right moves... Which he appears perfectly poises to do

do I believe I can solo? Of course, its possible, and of course I hope... But it is MANY years away

do I believe a solo is likely? Nope. the stalemate lines are just too intense. A 2 or 3 way is probably most likely

You appear on the surface to be much more frustrated than I. That's a lot of questions and grammatical mistakes for somebody calm, cool, and collected.

But here's what I gathered out of all those questions. You're willing to help Borderlands grow at the expense of D'Hara and Aiel. Gee, I wonder what happens when D'Hara and Aiel have to disband because of that? Doesn't take a whiz to figure that one out.

And Borderlands is the one that started this whole conversation off by rejecting your offers to begin with. By your own admission, you've asked "at least 3 other powers" for an alliance but have no takers. Given that I'm not one of those three, you've been declined all three times by all three remaining powers. Face facts, you've burned one too many bridges this game.

Oh, and "repeated requests"? I'll go on record that one of those words is being misused in its context and the other was so long ago that it hardly matters at this point.
