PlayDiplomacy short-handed game rules (<7 players)

How exactly do surrenders/draws work? Do you have to select every country or just one country per person?

Austria apparently surrendered, but in the "Statistics" tab, he's still listed as the Austrian player.

I'm going to lock this thread now, we don't want it becoming a bugs thread!! I will move the two previous posts to bugs.

I will edit the original post to reflect this, but it has been decided by the site community that in the case of the 2-handed variant we should deviate from the official rules. As a result, Italy will still be neutral in year 1 but after that it will go into Civil Disorder rather than be allocated to one of the other players.
