I was just wondering what the longest game of diplomacy there has been. I can see that 116541 is in 2034, but this is just chaselion holding each turn, and similar in 108650, and so these games in my mind don't count.
This question coincidentally came up during a game I'm playing. I know there was a game here onsite which lasted until somewhere around 1932-33 which finished maybe two months ago.

I remember watching this game while it was happening. It went until 1940.
It was kind of insane. It ended up in a stalemate between an I/T alliance and an English attempt to solo. England kept refusing to accept a three-way draw. So eventually, Turkey started slowly giving his centers to Italy. Slow enough that they could still hold their line. They had enough centers to give Italy the solo, and eventually Italy got the solo. I think they kept offering three-ways, and England stuck to his guns. I remember following the Public Press of that game and watching England go crazy.
You don't know what I'm thinking...because I don't know what I'm doing.
