Classicist's moderator?

Postby Shyvve » 10 Mar 2019, 23:17

Folks,

I'm wondering if we even have a current active Moderator for the Classicists. I've noticed a number of applications of late just hanging in limbo. And I think for a while that Fatmo had stepped in as a Moderator but I haven't noticed much activity processing applications of late.

This group is too good to see it just go out with a whimper  . I'd volunteer myself to step in but I'm unsure of how much work would be involved, whom to contact about learning the ropes, etc. Although I have recently spoken to dipsy about the lack of activity here.

Yes Shyvve it does seem to have died off recently which is a pity.

I've now been waiting 6 months for the upgrade to enable me to play Strict Classicist games should I wish to.

If there is no-one currently actively handling the outstanding applications I'll happily take on the role, either alone or in conjunction with others, if someone can briefly run through what's involved.

I could also undertake to look at the forum at least a couple of times a week to keep any new ones ticking over.

I know, Caladrius. Your situation was what really motivated my finally posting, although it's been buggin' me for a while now.

Motion tabled with amendment.

Two heads are better than one.

I propose joint mod-ing. Shyvee and Caladrius.

I, too, vote for Dr. Strangelove as classicist mod! I assume this vote guarantees me a place in the mineshaft should everything go pete tong?

Fatmo joined on as a mod not so long ago after JonS and Buachaille were finding real life was preventing them from keeping it up to date. It appears he's also falling a bit behind too. I've always advocated for multiple mods of forums. I pushed for it on PbF and I'll push for it here. It's always better to share the workload.

Agreed, two heads are better than one. Let them share the load.
