But that doesn't lessen your merits of having been an excellent student, Kim.

Your questions and reflecting about Diplomacy met the point. Was it on the Kiel channel, or about reading old books, or what to say to somebody who is going to be stabbed, or how to improve from a weak position.

It forced me to rethink and to concretise my thoughts through clear words. I could greatly benefit from that myself, and that's what I thank you for. I wish you all the best.

And figuring out coastlines.

OH! One I think I still haven't quite grasped. When I want to support a unit moving by convoy, do I support the unit moving into the province? Or do I support the unit doing the convoying?

You normally support the army that's being convoyed. You can alternatively grant support-to-hold to a fleet that's performing the convoy order, but that only increases the fleet's defense against dislodge; it doesn't increase the strength of the army's attack.

Good -- that's what I was thinking, but wanted to make sure. I think I saw someone support the convoying unit in the one F2F game I've played so far, so wanted to double-check.

So it seems like a convoy is a more vulnerable maneuver, since it can be disrupted two different ways. Will a convoy be stopped in the convoying unit is attacked but not dislodged?

No—the convoying unit has to be dislodged to disrupt the convoy.

Excellent, once again exactly what I figured.
