Congratulations to Phatlity, for his inevitable solo. Well done!

So, how did you guys like the game?

Good game Phatality, and thanks to you Joel for being the GM on this one!

In hindsight, I should have teamed up with Slim and West; we got squashed in the middle and stood little chance squabbling amongst ourselves the entire game.

Yes, excellent game, Phatality. Winning this game is definitely more complex than it looks at first glance. I'm also very 3-D oriented, so next time I would print off a map and move pieces on it to plan, like I do in Diplomacy. I was never thinking more than two moves ahead in this and that probably accounted more than anything else for my precipitous nosedive. But you did an excellent job GMing, Joel - I'll always need reminders. Would gladly try it again. What about a Bagel Sail-Ho?

Thanks guys, this was my first variant game and subsequently my first win. I just tried to play Vae and Viscount against each other as much as I could and to my luck they already started out as rather contentious against one another. I was just honest with Vae (hey we could bounce over this, or you could give it to me and I could support you later?) and Viscount was a threat so he acquiesced to me on the eastern island which was huge. Arthae's NMR's helped even though he never listened to me because it made it easy for me to pick off centers from Vae and Viscount while he wasn't gaining much in the north.

I think I had an advantageous starting position and a little luck on my side that round :D

Indeed. I should've made peace with Slim, given him the center island, and gone all out against the big eastern island.
