Provisional Tech Tree

Descriptions to be added later, but this is the basic tech tree (8 turns to research something)

Level One

Roads: roads are built in regions, and automatically connect to an adjacent province that contains a road. Roads cost 40 gold, 3 metal and 3 lumber per province. Upkeep per turn is 1 metal and a wood, but they generate 20 gold per turn extra for the region. Units may move 2 provinces per month if the region they start in, the region they move through and the region they arrive in all contain roads.

Better Armor

GIve your units better armor so they don't die! Must pay a one time cost of 2 metal for each unit you wish to upgrade (any infantry or cavalry unit)

Chariots

You can build da chariots

City Efficency

City upkeep is reduced by 20 gold. However, they gain a 1 metal upkeep as well

Level Two

Legions

Allows you to build Legions

Battlefield War Machine

Allows you to build Battlefield war machines.

Camel Breeding

Allows you to invest an extra 10 gold in a city to make it produce 2 camel for you. Note, 2 camel is the maximum you can EVER get from breeding.

Better Weapons

Kill stuff. Invest 2 metal (one time) for each unit to upgrade (any non ship/siege unit) to upgrade

Done to level two. Should be good enough for you guys to decide what to.

And remember, with a Level One Inventor, the time is reduced to 7 months.

Also, feel free to suggest items to add to this

Note, suggesting does not mean the Level Three Inventor's ability to propose techs is useless. Suggestions for techs here are public for all to research, while techs made by Inventors are private for you (for around 2 years or so)
