i think that some areas (ie france area) would trade within themselves, and with places like mine i can easily access the med

Yes, but areas in France wouldn't be as rich as the Med countries.

Yes, but areas in France wouldn't be as rich as the Med countries.

true but i can also easily cut off the med...

also with little effort later on Portugal/Castille made this area into one of the centers of trade (even before the new world)
