Congrats on the win Floridaman.

I'm trying to keen my discipline in not starting a Versailles game until I've got more familiar with classic, but it just seems so interesting I may have to try one over the Christmas/NY period

The interesting thing I see in Versailles games, including this one, is the importance of the minor country in gaining centres itself. With only a single unit I initially got the impression that these minors would only really be good for supporting you into somewhere or messing up the start of a rival, before being eliminated.

Would you agree that protecting and growing your minor is crucial to getting a solo, and if so, how do you protect it without revealing it?
