So Austria is finally showing his true colours. No surprises there.

But what's this France? Did you decide that Austria deserves the solo, after all?

Perhaps your ill-judged concentration on the east is finally chickens coming home to roost!

Nothing ill-judged about it. The fact that Austria supported you when he could have gained 2 centres by attacking you - without you ever being able to retaliate - pretty much proves that you two have been working together for a long long time. I tried several times to make peace with you, if you recall, and you refused. So you really gave me little choice but to attack you, and seeing you and Austria work together only confirms that attacking you was the right thing.

Anyway, there's a reason Italy wins fewer games than any other power. Italy is very badly positioned to cross the stalemate line. That's true here also. France has way too many fleets for me to ever get into the Mediterranean. Honestly, I wasn't even going to try. My hope was to defeat Austria quickly enough that no-one else had armies and I could reach Warsaw and Moscow. But with my failure to get into Tyrolia, and my failure to get rid of Turkey this year, that's not going to happen. Had I managed to get into Tyrolia, the Aegean and SMyrna I could have attacked Trieste with strength 4 while also convoying to Greece to take over Bulgaria. Then I would have had a shot. Now, it's hopeless.

So all France managed to do was turn a 3-way into a 5 or 6-way. Unless Austria breaks through against Germany or me, then it's a 1-way for him. Either way not a very good move on France's part.

There's no way I'm getting in to discussing the detailos of this game while we're still in the middle of it! But, as always, you're entitled to your opinion and I trust I'm intitled to mine!
