New Teachers support

Postby super_dipsy » 02 Aug 2015, 17:14

We have had a lot of Teachers using the new support throughout the last school year, which is very pleasing. However, we do not want to rest on our laurels and a number of very sensible suggestions have come up to make things even better in the coming year. The following changes are therefore now available:

- On the Teachers page, you now can FORCE a turn to process. So if you need the turn to run before class, you can force the turn even if everyone has not entered orders. Just enter the game number in the new option on the Teachers page and the turn will be queued to process; please remember though that when a game is forced, it is only queued for processing and will run as soon as it gets its turn. This should not be more than a few minutes though.

- Although as the Teacher you will still be copied on all messages, to make it easier to sort through everything you will NOT be alerted that you have received new copies. The new copies will be in your message folders, but they will be marked as read. But if a student sends you a message directly, then the message WILL be highlighted as unread and you will be alerted as such.

Good luck for the new school year!

Very cool. I never ended up using my teacher account last year like I intended, but I've re-thought my plans for the coming school year (as I do every year), and I'm seriously looking to get this thing active in at least one of my classes. Thanks for your work, Dipsy!

That's excellent news. I assume that this also means you only receive emails for the messages directed to you as teacher (if you have that option selected)?

This will make a huge impact - the messages tweak will be particularly helpful to me. Thanks Dipsy!!

Hi, not sure if this is the right forum, but I'm a teacher in need of an authorization code. I sent an email to the playdipmoderator email yesterday, still waiting on a response. Any chance I can get one from here? Thank you!
