Hello ferdy, it's been a while.

I've just gotten back into diplomacy. I'm not sure how my class load will be for the next quarter of school, but I miss this site and the fun we had.

I would be interested in a rebirth!

I'm going back to basics, I'll run the original game as it worked well, I'll get the rules posted here in a bit.

I have been thinking I will change it slightly to make it more interesting as last time we just spent months building up our own sphere before everything stopped for the irl year.

So I would have two periods I think, a short period of free attacking without any international pressure. And then after I would put NPC pressure on high warmonger countries and push players to attack each other more (not force but more pick sides) and have coalitions and such.

Thoughts?

I am, like always, up for a revival. I'd hesitate before doing too much tinkering with punishing warmongers, we always had too few, but I'm fine with NPC pressure to go to war, as long as it is reasonable, and preferably not too ridiculously ahistorical.

Not punishing warmongering after all this is a war game, I was thinking more pushing players to go to war with each other and having NPC's creating coalitions to defend themselves from players
