Loeb9 Variant Expression of Interest (9 on modded std map)

I spent some time updating the map with 'home provinces' and starting units.

Using the map was harder than I expected so will have to think about how will do this when game kicks off (provide all white map with just SC's and units coloured on it).



We almost have enough players for this now.

Hi foxbane. I think it's only fair to tell you that my Colonial game looks like going on a while yet, so I may not be ready for this one since it's filling up steadily. Put me to the bottom of the list, and if you get 9 ready and willing, make me a reserve

How are you making the map? Using Paint.NET and separate layers for units and the map makes things reasonably easy.

On a Mac and GIMP was odd. One of the issues was we had problems using layers on the initial map and how some of the lines and such on that one.

Could you change the color of the norwegian player so that it doesn't look like the neutrals?

Just ONE more person to start the game but with one existing a maybe/reserve.

'Grey' is the official colour for Loeb9 map, main issue I have is that that conflicts with other colours used on his (Danny Loeb's) map and this site

I am planning to just have unit colours and the 'dot' of the SC the colour of the unit. This variant has some online tools to do auto map making so I am planning to use them and layer over the top the move/bounce arrows.

PS a big 'thanks' to Manus Hand if he reads these forums, he has been a big help on the mapping tool and getting the syntax right.

PPS Will also look at JDip to see if it will help me as well.

I played around with JDip and it seems to be good (learning how to input, process and review orders takes some getting used too!)
