An astounding gain of 9 SCs for the loss of one brings Giriom's Mercia to a game-winning 20. Aided in the end by Northumbria falling on his sword, but nevertheless an excellently timed stab in the Spring.

AAR's are always interesting and useful, but especially so here - we are building up a good bank of Heptarchy games and full AARs will help to map out strategies, strengths and weaknesses. I would be particularly interested in how Cornubia and Mercia viewed Anglia at the start, and whether or not they considered an alliance in that direction - Anglia always seems to miss out.
