can't believe I just discovered this thread. Not going to lie I'm pretty disappointed with my play in the tournament but it was fun. Let's do it again soon!

*edit* also some of you did some really strange things considering the scoring system of this tournament so greatly favors a soloist.

Damn, I've only just discovered this thread too? A Shame I'd have probably commented more.

Just one thing, I managed to gain part of a 5-way in game 7.
This was a massive surprise to me as Zebb could've eliminated me in 2 seasons and accepted part of a 4-way draw just days later?

Also Kudos to Presser8, Lucifer and Easyrider in game 13 2nd Try, I thought I had that one sewn up at one point but these guys put up a good stalemate which forced the 4-way.

Well done to Cspieker for winnig the Tournament :D :D

Also thanks for running everything - it was fun! :D

You did not expect a Russian army to slip into Piedmont there did you ;)

Hey Peanut,
That draw in game 7 was a bit of a surprise, but I don't see how you could've been easily eliminated barring cooperation between Italy and France with you there cloistered in Portugal. There is not a better place to hang out and survive with one unit, especially in gunboat where cooperation is tough.

The tourney is still ongoing, not decided yet. One game, #12, unfinished. It has really slowed down though. If people could finalize I would really appreciate it as I am going on a vacation at the end of the week. After coming so far, I'd hate to have somebody else finish up for me.

And you are right this tourney has been pretty fun. If there is interest I could organize another one. It's a little complicated, but I've got the machinery figured out now, so it's not too hard to do now. We might be disappointed though. This tournament went off so well in terms of lack of NMR's and people confirming quickly (only one flub of country assignment out of 7*12=84 game assignment) quite good. We have nowhere to go but down :D

France could've easily forced Spain in S1916, and then taken Por in the Fall

No, but I was deternined to stop another unit getting behind my lines, hence the convoyed Army to England and the move to Cly the same season I dislodged F(NWG) :D

That rouge army occupied I think 5 of your units at one time at one point before you eventually destroyed it. This gave me time to take over Austria's Turkish centers and build fleets to set up the stalemate in both the north and south. It was critical

Just to clarify, we are stopping the games in Fall 1920 build or at least only counting SC at that point correct?

Back from my vacation. Glad to see that everything didn't go to hell because I was not around :D (but a little sad that I am not needed ;) )

My understanding would be that 1920 counts. That is, we see how many centers each country has at the end of 1920. So, I guess the actual builds are irrelevant, but the center occupation is vital.
