If a country that has lost SCs goes NMR at the Build phase, what rule determines which units are destroyed?

This is the priority

1) farthest from a home SC
2) fleets before armies
3) alphabetical order

Just my opinion. And maybe this is covered in the rules somewhere. But wouldn't it make more sense that units not in supply centers should be destroyed before units in regular territories?

It would edmgrim, but PlayDip follows the rulebook.

I can't remember, does the game also disband dislodged units?

If a power is in Civil Disorder, then any units dislodged will be destroyed not retreated.

Just to avoid confusion, Alman is correctly pointing out that in a Retreat phase, any units of inactive countries will be destroyed (that is the auto-destroy this thread is discussing). But it will not be done in the move phase - the only time a unit is destroyed in the move phase and removed immediately is if the unit has no adjacent empty territories to which it could be ordered.
