The debate that has split humanity for far too long! Wars have been fought over this and countless lives have been lost for the question of the millenium!
Personally, I believe that the paper should go over the roll, as our eyes can see more accessible paper and our brains translate this into a more positive image, causing us to perceive that there is more toilet paper on the roll. Just like a "glass half-full", having the paper positioned in a way that makes us believe that there is more causes us to feel more accomplished and happy in our lives. Studies have shown that when people are happier and feeling more accomplished, they are less likely to do bad things such as murder, robbery and filling the packet of chips/crisps to about 1/4 of the way and then filling the rest up with air. OVER THE ROLL SAVES LIVES!!!!1!
Likewise, if the TP is under the roll, we see less of it and that causes us to feel more unhappy and to feel that our lives are ultimately unfullfilled. This leads to negativity in a persons mental state that can cause them to, sadly, do bad things such as tailgating me or writing "your" instead of "you're".
