Well played Keir, you outplayed the town well.

Town, I think with some introspection you can realize you can do better. I certainly include myself in that.

Full aar later.

You don't get to do this. I hope I don't have the displeasure of playing with you again.

I was following this too.

Nice job Kier.

Also interesting to see a game with a more chilled out pace.

Question for you experienced players. Do you think a chiller/lower post count game benefits either scum or town in a general sense? Or maybe neither? Obviously every game and player is different, but what would your first instinct be?
You don't know what I'm thinking...because I don't know what I'm doing.

Thanks Nook for running it, thanks all for playing.

Have to say, behind the scenes was a comedy of errors on my part. I didn't know I had a factional night-kill. So any "let's look back and see who secretly knew there was a night-kill" wouldn't have worked. Then I killed Zip based purely on a misunderstanding of the role rules, a misunderstanding I let slip publicly on D2 and was actually probably something somebody could've caught.

I mean, yes, but you also gave no reason for anyone to believe you had called it. Read the dead thread. I have every reason to want to agree with you, as I am picking Keir the entire game, but even there I can see why the town wanted to kill you.

Do you understand why they did? Have you learned to alter how you play so that next time maybe you actually help your team win?

Also, while you are patting yourself on the back, you missed an opportunity to have made an ally in someone who wanted to believe a case there. Namely D1 when I am proposing K as scum, but you are just sort of divorcing yourself from making any real reads at all. So... That’s a shame, no? Why couldn’t you have helped me D1?

OK, so where did I screw up this game?

1) I did not push hard enough for K’s death, even in a no lynch situation. I took my foot off the throttle D1 despite having a clear sense of where I wanted to go.

2) I did not do enough to validate Telleo’s “I can get us a clear/dipole” D1 claim. I took it at face value, which even with a town read I should not have. It at least justified a question to GM about Telleo’s understanding of her role, which I was too lazy to do.

3) Missing SJG on the roster run — was a mistake that allowed too many people to make something out of it and allowed for chaff on my read set. Even after Telleo’s criticism, I look back and the run itself was fine. I was making the right reads at the right time.

4) Not considering the idea of a factional NK. Such a basic mistake. Should have taken it into account.

What did I do right?

1) Snap calls on UFO as town and Keir as scum were right on. Good.

2) Studied call on Telleo as town was a good one.

3) (Admittedly in the dead thread) End of D2 conclusion that dwiltse was probably town was good as well. I was reading this game well.

4) Reversing fast on the reveal/no reveal thoughts. Even with the NK missing, the reveal was the right choice for the town to prevent a potential disaster on N1. Glad I listened to those that had the right end of the mechanical argument.

Regarding holstering the NK being a mistake, I was operating under the assumption that I needed dwilt alive for the winning mislynch, and also needed Telleo alive to redirect what I assumed would be dwilt's shot at me, and shooting bk did not, in my opinion, seem to further my wincon. Seems I misunderstood some rules about night actions there. I did ask the GM to clarify night actions, but i asked a more general question and got a more general answer.
